Scion FR-S

So the market has clamored for Toyota to get back in the performance divisions since the demise of the Toyota Supra.  The segment that brought us the Supra, 300ZX, RX-7 and even the NSX were all laid to rest once their price tags were upwards of $40,000 in 1990's money.  All that technological and wheel spinning marvel was put on the shelf until the market called for a replacement.

That time has come, I give you the Scion FR-S.

Front engine, Rear wheel drive, Sport.

Reaching back to hallowed antiquity to the roots of the AE 86 deign…

Toyota Corolla

The compact car market reminds me of a middle school assembly during the first week of school.  Lots of white noise, shrieks, and sitting elbow to elbow on a hard gym floor.  And yes, that's how many of the subcompact cars feel like in today's market.

Now the purpose of this is to not throw another manufacturer or car under the bus, the media does that enough and is dependent on who stroked or didn't stroke the biggest check to sponsor that magazine that month.

The purpose of my writing here INFORM the consumer on the car…

2014 Toyota Tundra

Hello Internet viewers and Truck lovers.  Since it's inception in 1999, the Toyota Tundra was birthed into the 1/2 Ton Truck market dominated by the Big 3. The truck took off but people wanted them to be bigger, so Toyota listened.  Modified and made super huge in 2007, Toyota over-engineered their 9/10 full-size truck and turned it into a 3/4 ton pickup masked as a half ton.  Seriously, it's true.  The Tundra since 2007 misses qualifying as a 3/4 ton truck by only several requirements.  You don't believe me do you.  Ever actually…

New Toyota RAV-4

Hello fellow Interwebbers,

Today's topic is one you've probably been in, will be in or wife will make you be in one day soon.  You need an SUV, but you don't want a $600/month,  behemoth with a thirsty V8.  OK, so you need a smaller SUV and with a budget of about half of what the monster kid carrier costs.

Let me introduce you to the 2013 RAV-4.

Before you say anything like, "oh Kyle, it's ugly" or "I don't like the spare tire on the back" and my favorite "It's too bland…

Toyota Sienna

The Urban Assault Vehicle aka the Toyota Sienna. There is a common misconception about the Van Community of elder year that gave birth to the sliding door technological marvels we see today.  Part Swiss Army knife and part Transformer the interior can transform into many configurations.  Third row seats that truly folds into a flat surface or a huge trunk capacity when upright. 2nd row captains chairs that turn the back passenger area into a movie theater with an available 16" screen, wireless headphones and available footrests.  Your kiddos will love it.  Your friends will too when they are asleep…

Leasing vs. Purchasing

Purchase or Lease.  More often than not the dreaded "L" word will send an negative reactionary response to the majority of consumers.  If you just shook your head reading the word L-E-A-S-E please follow along closely.

Most people who despise the "L" word have either had a terrible experience with a previous lease or has had a relative/friend/parent who has warned them of leasing a vehicle.

And anyone who leased a vehicle in the 1980's and 1990's I can't say I blame you.  There were hardly any regulations about what and how much a dealership…

Recalls

What do politics, witch hunts, tv screens, and a Finger-Pointing loving public have in common.......... you guessed it the automotive industry and their recalls.

Now we can delve back into the hallowed antiquity of automotive engineering and point out design flaws since day 1 with Mr. Diesel and Mr. Benz.  Hell, chat with Mr. Ford himself, hindsight always being 20/20, what may have been a good idea, turned out not so great.  Just don't mention Edsel, he's still touchy about that.

And the media will give you an automotive hanging in a heart beat when they hear…
